Canals, Inlets and Coves to Charleston

Church Creek Anchor

My favorite part of boating is anchoring in unexpected coves and creeks. I have now been assigned the job of finding said places.

The ride to Charelston on the ICW is nice albeit a few very narrow places, however, serene. The cove I picked is really a creek. What a surprise and the surprises continued when 2 boats from Solomons Island Yacht Club (SIYC) pulled in. It is a small world. You have to understand that club only has 200 members and most don’t boat anymore. They shared with us a beautiful picture of our boat they took as they left in the mornimg.

A favorite spot because of 2 things. DOLPHINES were just tooling around and sean got out his bass and played.music as the sun set. Such fun.

Speacking of Dolphins had several playing around on both sides of our boat jumping in the waves. They do like to play.
